Trip to the VA Mountains

Last week we traveled down to Front Royal in the VA Mountains for a week of relaxing. Mom Nagy rented a mountain house and we were able to join her and the Beenders for a much needed week away. It was so wonderful hanging out with everyone with nothing to do and spending some QT with Hayden. What a great week it was! My Mom and Dad were even able to travel over for the day and have lunch and visit for awhile, what a fun treat! We relaxed on the gorgeous wrap around deck, played games, went to the pool, drank wine, visited JMU, went to Shenandoah National Park, hit the flea markets, boys golfed, and of course our favorite- did a winery tour of the VA wineries- so much fun! But we ended up all buying a lot of wine! Whoops.....there were just so may good ones, it was hard to resist!

Here are some photos from the week:

Hayden and her cousin Anne (almost exactly 1 year older) really bonded- they will be great friends, so cool!

Summer Fun

The summer has flown by but it has been great. We've been keeping very busy with Hayden and lots of weekend activities. We have been camping several times, had our annual neighborhood block party (where the guys played poker in the street under a light until the wee hours of the morning), Jack Johnson concert (and an old school Journey concert for KB), Phillies game, Musicfest in Bethlehem, a trip to Seattle (for Chris only to see his good friend Daymond and his twin sons Daymond and Danton), and many other fun events. We cannot believe it is Labor Day weekend this week and the summer is nearly over- where does the time go????

Here are a few summer photos...

Camping was awesome- the weather could not have been better and we were right on the river

Fourth of July at the Farm!

I know, I know, I have been extremely bad about keeping the Nagy blog up to date- it's been forever!! Things have just been really crazy but also really awesome. I went back to work at the end of June and all the adjustments have been going great. Hayden loves her school up the street and Chris and I have managed to master the logistics of drop off/pick up, commuting, working, feeding the little monkey and making dinner. Boy, it's nuts, but going great.

We spent the fourth of July up at the Nagy farm- it was a blast! We had a huge group of family and friends for a BBQ (semi in the rain- doh!) with yummy food, drinks, and an incredible fireworks display put on my Chris and his friends- like we'd expect anything less. We even got to go midnight gokarting on the farm- it was awesome....and we had our camper set up so Hayden was able to nap and chill out in the warmth while her crazy parents rode go karts and hung with friends- great times- and luckily the rain only lasted a little while.

Here is our first fourth of july family shot...Hayden was all decked out in her red, white, and blue!

May/June

Hayden is now 11 weeks old and doing awesome. May was full of fun for Hayden and her parents. She is growing every day and is smiling and laughing and making all sorts of crazy sounds. We are enjoying every minute. I have been loving the time off from work with her. We've gone for lots of walks and errands and even had our first amusement park adventure yesterday with Hayden's Auntie Ginger and cousins Katie, Riley and Anne and Great Aunt Karen. It was a blast and Hayden was such a trooper the entire time. She is weighing around 11 pounds 5 ounces and growing every day. She celebrated her first Memorial Day with a party up at the farm. She got to see lots of family and meet lots of new friends. This past week I went home to VA and Hayden got to spend some good QT with Grandmom and Grandad Best. She even survived her first horrible storm and 24 hour power outage. We also had a special visit with my friends from highschool and their babies- we got to spend 2 days with Rachel and her precious son Ethan and then got together for a pizza party with Christi and Claire, Trissie and Teagan, and Erika and Ella. It was hysterical having all 5 babies together and we lined them up on the couch for a photo montage- it went well at first and by the end they were all leaning to one side crying- all the mommies were crying from laughter. It was great fun.

Here are a few updated photos of Hayden- check out many of her firsts- her first "swim" in the baby pool, her first carousel ride, and her first swimsuit. The firsts will just keep on coming but we'll love them all.....oh and Mommy, Daddy, and Zoey are doing great also. ;)

Hayden and her new buddy Ethan (Rachel's little boy)- they were too cute hanging out (not sure why these photos turned)

Hayden had her first pool time with Ethan...they did not like the cold water at first but got used to it and then seemed to really like it- probably felt good on such a hot day, Rachel and I wanted to get in!

All the mommy's and babies (Erika and Ella, Christi and Claire, Rachel and Ethan, Me and Hayden, Trissie and Teagan)- babies are content here....but wait.....

It all goes down hill.....and the babies lean on Ella

First Mother's Day!

Hayden is now 7 weeks old - she'll be 8 weeks on Monday- wow, how time flies!! She is smiling and cooing and we think we witnessed her first laugh today- how cool! She is bringing so much joy to our lives. Everyday is so fun. I am able to get out and about a lot more with her also which has been awesome- we went to Valley Forge park yesterday (it was so pretty out) and walked the 5 mile loop and then ate lunch under a tree- some quality mother/daughter time to say the least. Today we went out to the new Philadelphia outlets- Hayden was not as happy today but she managed to shop for a few hours- it was again just nice to be outside.

We also celebrated our first mother's day together this past weekend and it was so special. We were actually camping for the weekend in Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. It was really fun (a little chilly) but definitely a great time. We were with our friends Joan and Scott and our 2 campers- it was such a great set up on the water. We relaxed a lot and managed to eat lots of yummy food, enjoy some beverages and scenery, and even play a game of texas hold em poker (and yes, Mommy won!! and no, it wasn't fixed for mother's day!). To top it off, Hayden and Zoey (well Chris) surprised me with a beautiful necklace with Hayden's birth stone, how sweet!!! We also got ice cream- my only request for the day. :)

Here are a few recent photos...

Hayden chillin...

All the girls...I think I've finally mastered walking Zoey with Hayden in her Baby Bjorn...she loves hanging out in it...and it's a lot easier than pushing a stroller with a pulling dog at your side!

Tried to get a photo of Hayden smiling, it is tricky to time it but here is my attempt..

Hayden's First Camping Trip

Hayden enjoyed her first official camping trip a few weekends ago. Since we now have the camper it is sort of "fake camping" but still so much fun. We enjoyed a beautiful weekend, yummy food, and peaceful nature. The camper is awesome and Zoey made sure to test out all three beds- she loved it and Hayden was such a trooper and slept great so Mommy and Daddy could hang outside and enjoy a camp fire and smores. We are actually headed to the Chesapeake this weekend for some more camping. She will be a pro before she even knows what camping is! :)

Hayden is now 6 weeks old (officially tomorrow) and is doing great. She is smiling a ton and is so alert. She is even sleeping through the night- which is a new thing in the past few days- she slept 7 hours last night- Mommy and Daddy were so surprised but very happy. She is pretty awake throughout the day and is just so fun to talk to and hang out with. We love her so much and love seeing her change every day.

Here are a few photos from the camping adventure...
